Yes, Virginia, There are Santa Claus Rookie Cards and Autographs!

Monday December 24, 2007

If you still need a stocking stuffer on the last day before Christmas, maybe a Santa Claus rookie card or autographed card would do the trick.

Yes, you read that right. Included in the latest batch of review products from Topps was the 2007 Topps Santa Claus Holiday Set, an 18-card box set depicting Kris Kringle himself on classic Topps baseball designs from 1952 (Santa's "rookie card") to 2007.

If that's not enough, there's even a relic card with a piece of Santa's Christmas-worn suit and a "Santafied" autograph. And it's on-card - no autographed stickers for the jolly one.

The copy people clearly had some fun with this one, writing on the back of the autographed card that it was signed with the same pen Santa uses for his nice and naughty list. For a small, last-minute gift, even people who don't usually collect sports cards might get a smile out of the Holiday Set.
