Most of us who celebrate Thanksgiving Day today will be watching football on television. Fans in Detroit, Dallas and Philadelphia will be watching it in person, and in the latter two cities (sorry Motown!), they will be taking home free football cards too.
For the third straight year, Donruss has cooked up special packs of cards to give away at the Thanksgiving Day games - 120,000 packs for 2008. This year's cards will picture past and present players from the home teams (like the Randall Cunningham card pictured here) as well as highlighting a few other things Donruss and the NFL think deserve special attention.
A Dallas card will show Marion Barber in a red Salvation Army apron serving food at a shelter, and a Philadelphia card will have information on Pop Warner football, which Donruss helps to sponsor. Both cities' packs will contain a special card that runs down this season's entire schedule of games on the NFL Network.
If you're a collector, you can't beat free cards. And even if you're not in Dallas or Philly today, here's hoping you enjoy the games and have a happy Thanksgiving.
