MVP Three-Peat for Peyton
If it's possible, Peyton Manning sort of flew under the radar this season. Between Brett Favre in New York, the Cowboys imploding and the surprising rise of the Titans in the Colts' own division, Manning's 4002 passing yards and 27 touchdown passes didn't get tons of attention.
Nevertheless, Manning was named the NFL's Most Valuable Player for the third time (joining Favre as the only players to win three), earning 32 of 50 possible first place votes. It was hard to argue against it after Peyton led Indianapolis to nine straight wins to finish the season, throwing 17 touchdowns while getting very inconsistent production from the running game.
Winning another award isn't going to move the needle on Manning's football cards dramatically, but it does serve as a bit of a "Hey, remember me?" to a hobby that has been focused (not without good reason) on the likes of Matt Ryan and Adrian Peterson over the past year or two.
