Box Toppers

Each sealed box of 2007 Topps Heritage has a bonus pack with one of 16 felt medallions that feature a team that played in 1958 plus its logo from that time. Mine sported the old winged sock look of the Chicago White Sox. The medallions are nothing special but do add to the overall nostalgic feel.

The Last Word

With 56 years of baseball card releases to pull from, Topps isn't likely to pull the plug on Heritage until collectors get sick of it - and they haven't so far. I'm not a huge fan of the 1958 design, but plenty of people are, and they should be pleased with this faithful take on it.

2007 Topps Heritage Baseball is aimed squarely at those who dig retro cards and enjoy the effort it takes to put together a whole set. For that segment of the hobby, this looks like another hit.
