2008 Goudey Sport Royalty Autographs Card Gallery

When the autographed versions of the Sport Royalty cards in 2007 Goudey Baseball turned out to be extremely popular with collectors, it was a no-brainer for Upper Deck to bring them back for 2008. Rounding up 43 athletes for this go-round, the company made good use of its exclusive relationship with superstars like Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods and added them to a checklist that has an intriguing mix of sports.

A number of cards are devoted to U.S. Olympians, from past champions like Bruce Jenner and Kerri Strug to 2008 Beijing medalists Kerri Walsh, Misty May-Treanor, Todd Rogers, Phil Dalhausser and Sanya Richards. All of the cards feature on-card signatures which look great on the retro card design.

Originally announced as falling one per case, Upper Deck announced after Goudey hit the shelves that they were inserted at an even higher rate. Quantities are still very limited though, with over half of the featured athletes signing 50 cards or less.
