Autographed Cards
Just like the memorabilia cards, the autographs in Gridiron Gear are parallels of commons or insert cards. The autograph checklist ranges from rookies to legends and many of the cards are numbered to relatively low quantities.
A Player Timeline Autographs card of Deion Sanders emerged from my review box. Numbered to 50 - which actually is a high print run for its particular subset - the card pictures Sanders in his 49ers and Cowboys uniforms and has a sticker signed by the flashy former cornerback and kick returner.
The Last Word

Though it doesn't have the name recognition of other Donruss Playoff brands like Leaf Certified Materials, Donruss Gridiron Gear Football has comparable content. Only the relatively unattractive base card design kept me from rating it even higher.
Gridiron Gear has the right mix of rookies, memorabilia and autographs to make it a winner. For collectors who like the design more than I did, they just might find it to be one of their favorite football products of 2006.
